compare the given quadratic equation with the following:
(a).x^2 + (b).x + (c) = 0
(2).x^2 + (5).x + (-1) = 0
Hence, a=2, b=5 & c=-1
Therefore, Discriminant D= (b)^2 - 4.(a).(c)
D = (5)^2 - 4.(2).(-1)
D = 25 -(-8)
D = 25 + 8
D = 33
(a).x^2 + (b).x + (c) = 0
(2).x^2 + (5).x + (-1) = 0
Hence, a=2, b=5 & c=-1
Therefore, Discriminant D= (b)^2 - 4.(a).(c)
D = (5)^2 - 4.(2).(-1)
D = 25 -(-8)
D = 25 + 8
D = 33
