p->16 q->17 r->18 s->19 t->20
u->21 v->22 w->23 q->24 y->25
z->26

Solution

For Single Digit
d(4)  = (4-1) = 3
e(5)  = (5-1) = 4
For Two Digit
l(11)  = (1+1)-1 = 1

Therefore ,
m(13) = (1+3)-1 = 3
u(21) = (2+1)-1 = 2

mumbai = 323108

Gaurav
Can someone explain the logic for 2 digits
Amit Sahu
Yes for 2 digits we are actually adding the 2 digits and subtracting 1 from it
for e.g m = 13
13 = 1+3 = 4, So 4-1=3
So 3 is the digit
Srikant
See for the two digit number
you can add both the digit and substract one from it
like m is at place 13
so 1+3 = 4
the 4-1 = 3
so 'm' will be coded as 3
