Total moles of KOH present in the resulting solution is equal to [(0.2 x 4.0) + (0.5 x 2.0)] moles, which is equivalent to 1.8 moles.



To find the molarity of the resulting solution, we can just divide the total moles of solute (KOH in this case) by the total volume of the solution, which is equal to the sum of the volumes of the two aqueous solution mixed, assuming additive volumes.



Therefore, Molarity = 1.8/(4.0 + 2.0) M = 1.8/6.0 M = 0.3 M.
