let selling price => x + (x*(25/100)) = 20
=> x+(x/4) = 20
=> x = 16

Article cost price = 16;
Final selling price = 24
Final profit = 24-16 = 8;

Profit percentage = (8/16)*100 = 50%;

Let me explain a quick way to approach these questions.

let article cost was = x
let selling price => x + (x*(25/100)) = 20
=> x+(x/4) = 20
=> x = 16

Article cost price = 16;
Final selling price = 24
Final profit = 24-16 = 8;

Profit percentage = (8/16)*100 = 50%;
Answer is 50%
